SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport man is now behind bars in the city jail after police say a dispute over a parking space ended with him allegedly attacking his neighbor.

On September 11, 2025, a verbal dispute over a parking spot escalated into an assault in the 100 block of East Robinson Place.

Police say they received a call about an assault and battery incident and dispatched officers to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers say they spoke to the victim, who described a fight with his neighbor, 30-year-old Kappy E. Joe III.

Joe allegedly was arguing with the victim's wife before the victim intervened. Joe then allegedly struck him in the face, resulting in the loss of two teeth.
