HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 29-year-old Honolulu man was charged on suspicion of drug-related and other offenses stemming from a traffic stop on Hawaii Island.

According to the Hawaii County prosecutor’s office, police contacted Sione Latu Misinale on a traffic stop Sept. 10.

Officers later executed a search warrant on an Audi sedan and recovered nearly six pounds of methamphetamine.

Misinale was charged with:

Promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree,

Attempted promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree,

Criminal littering,

Driving without a license, and

No no-fault insurance.

His bail was set at $502,000.
