TEXARKANA, Texas. (KTAL/KMSS) – A photo being circulated on social media platforms shows Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) officers allegedly exerting what social media is calling excessive force during an arrest.

In the photo, one officer can be seen holding a person's feet, one is applying handcuffs while straddling their back, and another officer is holding down the person's head with two hands to the concrete.

TTPD has released a public statement regarding the above incident.

At approximately at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2025, officers say they were conducting a traffic stop on the 1800 block of Bowie Street.
