LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A private security guard, who should not have been armed, allegedly shot a tourist after an altercation on the Las Vegas Strip, the investigative team with Nexstar's KLAS has learned.

Deangelo Sneed, 20, of Las Vegas, faces two charges connected to the shooting on Saturday, Aug. 30, records said. Documents identify Sneed as an officer for Securitas, a private security company.

The shooting happened just after midnight near a bar at the Grand Bazaar Shops near Flamingo Road, documents said.

Sneed allegedly shot the victim, who was visiting from Chicago, in the hip, police said. Officers arrested Sneed nearby. Inside his car, police said they located a gun on the driver’s side floorboard.
