STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. (FOX Carolina) - The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office reports arresting a man wanted in connection with a stabbing on Monday.
Deputies said a stabbing occurred in late August on Hill Place in Toccoa. Cameron Deuntray Gholston, aka Cameron Hunter, 37, was charged with aggravated assault in connection to the incident.
Officials report law enforcement received information that Gholston was seen walking near Walgreens in Toccoa, which led officers to begin surveillance on Big A Road.
Gholston was seen walking towards Northeast Georgia Bank and Quality Inn near Stephen Circle around 1:45 p.m. He violently jerked away and fled with one cuff from a pair of handcuffs locked on his wrist after investigators made contact with him. Gholston was quickly located in the wooded ar
