HOUSTON — Across the NFL on Sunday, some stadium PA announcers called for a moment of silence to remember conservative activist Charlie Kirk , who was assassinated last week in Utah. At other stadiums, there was no mention.
At NRG Stadium before the Buccaneers-Texans game , the PA announcer did call for a moment of silence, but didn’t mention Kirk.
The video board then went black before the PA announcer read the following.
"We are asking all fans to join us in a moment of silence to honor all victims of violence and natural disasters across the country. It is our hope that together we can end all forms of violence."
Then, after a long pause, “Thank you.”
