Since arriving in the state in December, new Tulsa football coach Tre Lamb has one word to describe Oklahoma football — Bedlam.
“Bedlam is important, I’ll say that,” Lamb said during his Monday press conference. “The OU-OSU hatred is real. It reminds me a lot of Clemson-South Carolina, honestly.
“In that state, it is a big deal.”
Although Oklahoma and Oklahoma State’s Bedlam rivalry is temporarily on pause, the Cowboys and TU are just getting started rekindling theirs. Friday night’s game is the second in an eight-year home-and-home contract between the two schools that culminates in 2031.
OSU leads the series 44-27-5, including last year’s 45-10 Cowboys victory in Tulsa. The Hurricane’s last win in the series was 1998 in Stillwater. Lamb
