Peter Kelly is is standing just inside the Clarendon Square Shopping Centre, his glasses flecked with raindrops, and reminiscing.

"He had a big thing about kebabs...he did a good Elvis impression," he says, thinking. "He had a phobia of cats.

"Guinness was his tipple...he used to drink in the Shepherd's Call. I gave him a clip round the ear once when he got in the way of the dart board," he continues, smiling.

It might seem like Peter is recalling memories of a favourite cousin or cheeky younger brother, rather than a champion boxer holding multiple world titles. But he's talking about Ricky Hatton.
