LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore has unveiled his 2026 budget proposal, which emphasizes fiscal responsibility while ensuring full funding for public safety and a 2% raise for all city employees.
“My first priority is to ensure that we fully fund our obligations to city employees without reducing essential city services,” Moore said. “It’s a lean but balanced budget.”
The proposed $68.98 million budget fully funds the city’s police and fire collective bargaining agreements but comes with several cuts due to a reduction in property tax revenue from the state legislature.
Here are those notable changes:
The city’s summer concert series will be cut nearly in half.
Public arts funding will be reduced by $177,000.
The Steam Boat Nights festival will be eliminated.
