Donald Trump reportedly skipped a vigil for Charlie Kirk because he had plans to play golf.
The President of the United States was noticeably absent from a vigil held at the Kennedy Center on Sunday night (September 14) in Washington, D.C.
Trump decided to insert himself into the arts community earlier this year when he was elected as Board Chair of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, one of the most important arts institutions in the country. Yet, he snubbed the center’s vigil for his own friend.
So, where was he?
TMZ reports he chose “instead to enjoy a weekend away at his golf club in New Jersey.” He spent the weekend at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. and returned to his residence at the White House at 6:30pm on Sunday night.
