A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Holmdel on Sunday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place around 10:25 a.m. Sunday on Pleasant Valley Road, Holmdel police said.

Police said the motorcyclist was brought to an area hospital with critical injuries, but the rider has since died, according to State Police fatal crash data. No other vehicles were involved, officials said.

Police didn’t immediately identify the rider.

The crash remains under investigation.
