WASHINGTON – As National Voter Registration Day approaches, Secretary of State Steve Hobbs is urging residents to consider the impact of every election, whether national or local, on their daily lives.
Hobbs emphasized the security and transparency of elections in Washington.
"Elections have always been secure transparent and assessable," Hobbs said.
Hobbs also discussed recent efforts to increase public awareness about election processes.
"Now we've started changing that around the last couple of years letting people know tabulation machines are not connected to the internet databases talk to one another you can actually see the elections for yourself when you go to the county auditor's office," Hobbs said. "So that's what we're trying to do put the word out about how elections are ra
