WACO, Texas (KWTX) - KidStrong , a science-backed training program for children ages walking to 11 years old, hosted its grand opening for a new location in Woodway.

“We are excited to bring this to Waco. Simply put, we are here to help kids win at life,” said Waco Kidstrong area developer Shelby Sheehy.

KidStrong classes use a combination of activities aimed at promoting physical movement and cognitive development. Activities range from social greetings, public speaking, and memory recall to running, jumping, and strength building. Every class ends with a competition to teach kids how to lose gracefully.

Sheehy said, most importantly, the programming’s main goal is to build children’s confidence, so all classes start with the affirmation: I am strong, I am brave, I can do this.
