MCGREGOR, Texas (KWTX) - Harris Creek Church in McGregor, Texas announced plans to make $29 million in renovations, including a new 3,000-seat auditorium for their Sunday service.
Head Pastor Jonathan Pokluda said overflow rooms are frequently used after the 1,100 seats in the current main auditorium fill up.
“We’re putting people in hallways and anywhere we can find space,” Pokluda said.
It can be a weekly challenge for congregates to find a seat in the main auditorium.
“To fight the traffic people will get here early and save seats inside,” Congregate Madden Pearce said. “That’s a typical Sunday morning.”
The church asked for congregates to “save their seat” with a $7,000 donation.
