COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department, along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, seized alcohol from a Columbia gas station that was illegally selling it on Monday.
The Valero Gas Station on North Main Street had its liquor license revoked on Aug. 29, 2025, after courts determined that the location was not appropriate for an alcohol license.
RCSD was informed that the gas station was continuing to sell alcohol without a license in violation of the court’s decision, which led to a search warrant being executed with help from SLED and a truckload of alcohol being seized from the premises.
The gas station had previously lost its alcohol license in September of 2021.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned to WIS for the latest details.
