After 25-years since the Opening Ceremony for the Sydney Olympics, 10 sporting legends have been inducted into Sydney Olympic Park's Hall of Fame at a gala dinner on Monday night.

The best of the best were inducted in the class of 2025, leaving an everlasting footprint on Sydney Olympic Park.

Cathy Freeman was inducted following her memorable moment of winning gold in her 400m sprint during the 2000 Games.

Olympian Freeman told The Daily Telegraph the day she won gold remains as vivid as ever.

“Every time I step back into this stadium, I’m reminded of that unforgettable night on September 25, 2000, when a sold-out crowd lifted me through the 400-metre final,” Freeman said.
