Following an investigation by Consumer Protection BC, the agency says payday lender Cash Money has agreed to refund nearly half a million dollars to approximately 3,000 consumers.
Thousands of British Columbians are now eligible for a refund after an investigation alleged that payday lender, Cash Money, broke consumer protection laws.
Cash Money previously operated five locations on Vancouver Island.

“There are a lot of rules that are set out for payday lenders in the Payday Lending Act. That stipulates how and when people who are borrowing money need to pay it back,” said Consumer Protection BC public relations director Louise Hartland.
