MOOSIC, Pa. — September is the last month when folks looking to buy a used or new electric vehicle are going to be able to save some extra cash from a federal tax credit.
"It's $7500 on brand new vehicles, $4000 on pre-owned vehicles, it's going away on Sept. 30th,” said Dan Limongelli, the owner of Jo-Dan Motors.
The One Big Beautiful Bill that was signed into law on July 4 moved up the deadline for when the EV tax credit was set to expire. Originally Dec. 31, 2032, now September 30.
"So it's kind of concerning that it is over, I am looking for incentives from the manufacturer, and I'm sure there are a lot of other manufacturers looking for incentives,” said Limongelli.
