MCPHERSON, Kan. (KSNW) - McPherson Public Schools’ Board of Education has approved repairs to the high school’s Roundhouse gym following damaging floods.
The building experienced two floods over the summer, destroying its hardwood floors. The board initially approved replacing the floor in July, but paused the project to hear from engineers.
On Monday, the BOE voted 5-0 to move forward with detention pond enhancements and to replace the Roundhouse gym floor. Concrete work is expected to begin soon, with hardwood installation set to start Nov. 1.
