WESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Lewis County Park Board officially opened its new pickleball courts Monday afternoon and marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Lewis County Park.

The event drew a crowd of community members, with Lewis County Commissioners and other local dignitaries in attendance to celebrate the addition. The pickleball courts are part of a larger effort to expand and enhance recreational opportunities at the park.

“It’s the largest growing sport in America and I think we would have done a disservice to our community and the people here if we hadn't have been able to make efforts to bring something like this to our park and to our citizens,” Lewis County Commission President Bobby Stewart said.
