JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A busy street in Jerome is back open following a waterline break on Monday afternoon.

Crews temporarily closed North Lincoln Avenue from East Main Street to 2nd Avenue East following the break. 1st Avenue East was also temporarily closed in between North Lincoln Avenue and North Adams Street.

The City of Jerome issued a boil order for those on 1st Avenue East from North Lincoln Avenue to North Buchanan Street. The city also stated that North Lincoln Avenue is now open.

Public works crews were seen digging up a portion of the birck sidewalk parallel to 1st Avenue East around 5:45 p.m. Crews had to vacuum out a large amount of water to access the damaged line.
