PASCO, Wash. – The City of Pasco proclaimed September 15, 2025, as a day to honor Charlie Kirk.

This announcement was made by Mayor David Milne, recognizing Kirk’s contributions to civic education and leadership.

According to the proclamation, Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was dedicated to educating young people about limited government, free markets and personal responsibility.

Kirk was known for his efforts to equip a new generation of Americans to think critically, engage civically and uphold ideals of freedom, family and faith, the proclamation said.

Kirk’s life was cut short when he was assassinated on September 10, 2025, while engaging in dialogue with college students.
