NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - An Arkansas police officer was arrested and is charged with domestic battery, according to the North Little Rock Police Department.

Tommy Norman, a 27-year veteran of the department, was arrested on September 13 and charged with one count of domestic battery in the 3rd degree. Norman is being held without bond at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.

According to the department, he was placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
