A man wearing a grey puffer vest allegedly stole several bottles of wine from a Woden liquor store last week.

Security footage showed the man entering a BWS, appearing to hide bottles inside his vest, and walking out without paying for them.

At the time of the alleged theft - about 1.30pm on Wednesday, September 10 - police said he was wearing beige pants, a white long-sleeved top layered with a grey vest, and white sneakers.

The alleged thief is also accused of other shoplifting incidents reported in Canberra this year, where affected businesses have reported a combined loss of more than $3500.
