Queensland police have released security vision of two people accused of a violent carjacking north of Brisbane.

It is alleged the 35-year-old man from Granville and 26-year-old woman from Maryborough assaulted three people at a service station on the Bruce Highway at Morayfield early on Sunday morning.

The pair assaulted a woman and demanded her car keys before smashing the window of a vehicle and assaulting a passenger, again demanding the keys, police alleged.

It is alleged they then assaulted a man behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Outlander and stole his car, heading north on the Bruce Highway towards the Sunshine Coast.

Police said the pair threatened the motorists with a firearm during the assaults.
