Amid the flood of horror arising from the war in Gaza, the latest finding that Israel is committing genocide could be seen as another United Nations (UN) report cataloguing the suffering in dispassionate language.

The UN has previously released a detailed report on Israeli soldiers committing systematic sexual violence against Palestinians and found Israel committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in its attacks on healthcare facilities and treatment of detainees, which have passed out of the news cycle within days.

The world's major human rights groups, legal experts and genocide scholars have also already said Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
