A woman has been arrested and charged over a deadly house fire in Melbourne's north-west last year that killed two children and hospitalised a third.
The 26-year-old woman was arrested in Tarneit on Tuesday and charged with two counts of negligent manslaughter and one count of negligently cause serious injury.
It follows a year-long investigation into the deadly blaze by detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad.
Emergency services were called to a burning property in Sydenham just after 9:30pm on September 8 last year.
The three children were found unconscious and hospitalised with life-threatening injuries, with two girls dying in hospital three days later.
