GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, New Jersey — An actor who has had minor roles in movies and TV shows, including “The Sopranos,” is facing criminal charges after he was accused of shooting a woman in the face during a road rage incident.

Ernest Heinz, 46, of Port Republic, N.J., is charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, court records show.

A news release from the Galloway Township Police Department shows the incident occurred on Sept. 11. NBC 10 Philadelphia reports that court documents show the woman tried to merge into Heinz’s lane but he sped up to block her from getting in.
