CINCINNATI, Ohio — Joe Burrow is likely going to have surgery on turf toe that he suffered on Sunday in the Bengals’ 31-27 win vs. the Jaguars.

That means Zac Taylor and his team will likely be without their franchise quarterback for quite some time. But despite that, Taylor expressed plenty of confidence in backup quarterback Jake Browning, who helped lead Cincinnati to the comeback win.

“Yeah, we have a ton of confidence in Jake and so he proved that yesterday against what I think everyone’s going to see is a really good football team,” Taylor told reporters in his Monday press conference when asked about past quarterback injuries. “He’s done it in the past. He’s played against this team we’re about to play (Minnesota). So he’s got experience there.”
