WRENS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Wrens man has been arrested in relation to thefts that allegedly left over 100 residents without internet over the past two months.
James Ellis Coleman, of the 2500 block of Quaker Road, was arrested on Saturday and charged with 11 counts of criminal damage to property.
On Sept. 12, the Wrens Police Department requested assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the destruction and theft of multiple fiber optic splice boxes belonging to Zoom Telcom.
According to the Wrens Police Department, the boxes began being destroyed and/or stolen in July of 2025 and continued until present.
