HIGH POINT, N.C. — A High Point man was killed in a crash at the intersection of Burton Road and W English Road, according to the High Point Police Department.

David Lee Graves was driving a moped when he was stopped at a stop sign on Burton Road, waiting to make a left turn onto W English Road, police said.

An investigation determined that a truck driving on the outside lane on W English Road slowed to make a right turn onto Burton Road. When that happened, Graves attempted his turn but didn't see a second vehicle in the inside lane, where he was then hit.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Monday night, according to police.

Police said they found him in the roadway and EMS took him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead.

No charges will be filed, according to police.
