PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 27-year-old woman was killed early Tuesday morning after being caught in the crossfire of a shootout in the city's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, police said.
The victim, identified as Jasmine Johnson, was on the porch of a home on the 3100 block of West Montgomery Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. when gunfire erupted from multiple directions.
According to investigators, Johnson was struck in the back by a bullet and ran inside the home, where she collapsed and was later pronounced dead.
"She was a good young lady," said a neighbor who identified himself as Cash. "It's very upsetting because this young girl got killed for nothing. Only 27."
