Ronnie O'Sullivan will continue his snooker hiatus after pulling out of the British Open .
The seven-time world champion has withdrawn from the tournament due to medical issues, the World Snooker Tour announced on Tuesday.
O'Sullivan was due to play Sanderson Lam in next Monday's opening round before his withdrawal. The exact nature of the medical condition is currently unclear.
A WST statement read: "Ronnie O'Sullivan has pulled out of next week's Unibet British Open for medical reasons.
