DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Two suspects were arrested in connection with a theft at a Home Depot and a crash that left an officer hurt, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Police were called to the Home Depot located on Lawrenceville Highway in reference to a theft call on Monday, Sept. 15, at around 2 p.m.

According to police, as officers arrived on scene, the suspects tried to flee and ended up crashing into the patrol vehicle. The officer injured in the crash is expected to be ok.

After the incident, police said the suspects got out of the car and fled on foot. The driver was then taken into custody, but officers conducted an extensive search through local neighborhoods to find the second suspect. The second suspect was arrested on Flamingo Drive.
