HALLSVILLE, Texas — A Hallsville mother is asking the community to join her during an event that aims to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl.

Kelly Woods understands firsthand the dangers of the drug – her son, Brendyn, died this past year from an overdose.

“After that happened, it’s just one of those things where losing a child just breaks you in a way that is indescribable,” she said.
