GREENCASTLE – Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott recently announced the promotion of Trooper James Crisp to the rank of Trooper Detective. Detective Crisp’s new responsibilities will include conducting criminal investigations and managing, investigating, and processing crime scenes. He will also interview victims, witnesses, and informants, and will be responsible for keeping affected commanders and other personnel informed about ongoing investigations and related activities.

A native of Brownsburg, Detective Crisp is a 2007 graduate of Brownsburg High School. After high school, he served for eight years in the Indiana National Guard as a member of the Military Police, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant.
