LINDALE, Texas — A former East Texas daycare worker on Tuesday pleaded guilty to kicking and pushing several young children over a three-month period last year.

Catherine Guziejka, 45, pleaded guilty to six counts of injury to a child with the intent to cause bodily injury on Tuesday. Judge Taylor Heaton set sentencing for a separate hearing.

Arrest documents showed Guziejka was seen assaulting children from July to October 2024 when parents and staff reviewed video surveillance from classrooms at the Punkin' Doodles Day Care in Lindale. She was arrested in October 2024.

The daycare office staff said she was seen on video kicking the kids (under 2 years old) in their lower back about 21 separate occasions, the document read.
