INDIANAPOLIS---Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is expected to speak at an Indiana Statehouse rally Thursday—joining Democratic lawmakers in an attempt to convince Republican colleagues not to redraw the state’s Congressional districts mid-decade.
“I think he's the perfect advocate for us in this position because what Republicans are trying to do right now with redrawing the maps: it only benefits one group, and that's the Republican Party,” Indiana State Rep.
