Marshall County has been managing an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease that has killed one person since it was first identified in August.

The state of Iowa announced on Sept. 4 that it is investigating the outbreak that started with 21 cases. As of Sept. 16, 54 cases have been confirmed, according to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services .
