WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A 101,000-piece LGO mural featuring and celebrating Wichita’s seven public high schools was recently completed and displayed at the USD 259 administrative office.

The project started in August, when the district said every school in USD 259 joined in “a celebration of unity and purpose.”

The mural consists of 99 sections and more than 101,000 bricks. It came to life at Rally at the Roundhouse, where the WPS Millings department assembled each contribution into one piece of art.

The mural was then hung at the district administrative center, with USD 259 saying it represents “a bold testament to the power of collaboration and the essential role every employee plays in building the future of Wichita Public Schools.”
