WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas State Fair experienced a decline in attendance in 2025 compared to 2024. Over the ten days of the fair, there were 300,784 attendees, despite heavy rains and muddy conditions. In 2024, approximately 321,000 people visited the fair.
Due to the rain, the state fair had to close its grass parking lots, which became difficult to navigate and turned into a muddy mess. As a result, fair organizers arranged for parking at Hutchinson Community College, the Hutchinson Uptown Mall, and Bold 3PL, with shuttle services provided to transport visitors to the fairgrounds.
Kansas State Fair General Manager Bryan Schulz stated, “We are grateful to the Hutchinson community and our emergency response partners for helping us make these adjustments quickly and safely.”
