A New Jersey appeals court has upheld the state’s gender-inclusive education regulations, rejecting a legal challenge from conservative activist Shawn Hyland.

The state Board of Education acted within its authority when it readopted 2023 regulations aimed at promoting equity in public schools , the Appellate Division ruled in a decision released last week.
