MABLETON, Ga. — A 17-year-old Pebblebrook High School student was fatally stabbed Saturday evening, and a 16-year-old juvenile has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing, officials confirmed.

Cobb County police said officers responded to a medical call at a residence on Milam Creek Road in Mableton around 5:41 p.m. on Sept. 13. They found the victim, identified by the town's mayor, as David Daniel, suffering from a stab wound to his left torso on the front porch of the home. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Investigators quickly identified a 16-year-old male suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
