ATLANTA — A 19-year-old man is accused of ambushing and shooting an armored vehicle operator outside an Atlanta Kroger on Monday morning, stealing $50,000, and then fleeing the scene before crashing and being arrested by police in Forest Park.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, the victim was grazed in the head and taken to a hospital for treatment in condition described as alert, conscious, and breathing.

The incident began a little after 9 a.m. at the Kroger at 2685 Metropolitan Parkway, according to an Atlanta Police statement.
