CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University has fired two more faculty members over comments the school said they made in response to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The school announced Tuesday morning that the faculty had been dismissed following an investigation of their social media comments made about Kirk. It follows Monday's firing of another faculty member for similar reasons.
"We fully acknowledge the concerns raised regarding the timing of recent personnel decisions," the school said in a statement. "Every deliberation reflects the University's unwavering commitment to conduct all actions in full compliance with institutional policies, state and federal laws, and the foundational process."
