EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville banker has been sentenced after pleading guilty to taking money from customer accounts.
32-year-old Dekoda Clark, of Tell City, was sentenced to 2.5 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
He also has to pay back more than $158,000.
Records show Clark used unauthorized withdrawals and unauthorized debit card schemes to take $158,208.53 in 2023 and 2024.
Federal officials say he used the money to buy several items including iPads, a MacBook Pro, an Apple Watch, a drone, and a gaming laptop.
They say he sold some of the items for cash and kept some of them.
Online records show Clark was employed at Regions Bank at the time.
They have one Evansville Branch on Eagle Crest Boulevard.
