MILWAUKEE -- Get ready for a full weekend of racing in Milwaukee next year. IndyCar announced Tuesday that the Milwaukee Mile will host a doubleheader race weekend in 2026.
The NTT IndyCar Series will roll through the world's oldest-operating motor speedway during the weekend of Aug. 29-30. The doubleheader marks the second-to-last stop on the series calendar, making it a potentially critical race in the chase for the series championship.
The 2025 race served as a victory lap for Álex Palou, who had clinched the championship two weeks before in Portland. However, it was Christian Rasmussen who took the checkered flag on the day thanks to a heroic charge in the final laps to overtake Palou. It was Rasmussen's first-ever IndyCar win.
