Superintendents at some of Oklahoma's largest school districts say they aren't going to honor slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk with a moment of silence, despite a directive from Republican state schools Superintendent Ryan Walters.
Administrators at Oklahoma City, Deer Creek, Edmond, Mid-Del, Moore, Norman, Piedmont, Yukon and several large Tulsa-area districts all say they already host a daily moment of silence — as required by state law — and won't be adding another one.
