The Loveland Rotary Club will award two sets of winners in its annual duck race as a way to maintain the integrity of the fundraising event despite allegations of someone tampering with the ducks in the Big Thompson River.

“The club believes that by making this unprecedented decision to award two sets of prizes — a decision prompted by the equally unprecedented occurrence of the alleged fraud … — it will show the community its commitment to resolving this matter with fairness to all concerned (one of Rotary’s core ethical values) and to doing all it can, regardless of the cost, to maintain the transparency and integrity of the Rubber Duck Race for years to come.”
