The Clark County Council on Monday appointed defense attorney Megan Peyton to replace District Court Judge Kelli Osler, who is retiring Dec. 31.
The council conducted a second interview with Peyton and District Court Commissioner Erin Priest for the position .
“Both of the candidates have proven that they are both very well qualified, and I have full faith and confidence in both of them,” Councilor Glen Yung said before the council cast nominations for Osler’s position.
Peyton, 44, of Camas, has served as the supervising attorney of Vancouver Defenders since 2015.
